The Fiction Landscapes by j.frede

May 11, 2016

Artist j.frede  had an interesting idea to create new landscapes. Instead of painting the landscapes or creating digital images of it, he did some kind of collages using photos that aren’t related in one way or another.

These newly formed, fictional landscapes, create new world from the view of several photographers, thus creating imaginary points of connection between the photographers. It is also suprising to see how, despite no retouching work being done on the photos, the various landscapes go well together.

Moreover, the artist did a great job presenting his work with awesome frames that join the mixed landscapes better.

The project, titled Fiction Landscapes, builds on the artist’s interest in memory, tapping into others’ momentos of the past to create fictionalized scenes of ambiguous origin.
