Russian artist Elena Efremova, who moved to Marseille many years ago, creates her watercolor works, with an eye to the real scenery. Or rather, she combines photos with pictures later.
She does not take pictures of the painting on the background of painted by her landscapes, but combines them with a pre-made photo. Usually, the photo is made in the end of the open air session.
“Drawing for me is the way to understand the world, when I paint – the world passed through me as through a prism – and focuses on a sheet of paper”, writes artist in her Instagram. If so, I can say that her world is full of bright colors and sunny days 🙂
